I have a variety of leather and Xanita heads on display, including an original artwork by Sharon Boonzaier, who has done a Jozi-inspired cityscape on the Xanita before it got turned into a 3d sculpture.

Hey all!

It's always a good idea to do a bit of a spring clean before a visitor or family member arrives,
so I've revamped the Headondesign site to welcome my newest design, the Sable Antelope.

Trying to describe Sable has been interesting - to the point, he (yes, could only be a "he") is a bit two-faced;
handsome and muscular from one angle, elegant from another, definitely bolder and more arrogant
than the Kudu or Buffalo. I've captured a common Sable facial expression - ears back signify awareness
and slight unease, or perhaps his ears are so big he can't get them up?

I would love to hear what you think of him!

A glorious Cape Town winter's day outside, yet the Studio is like a giant cooler box! (the price we pay for favouring an old building)

I am FINALLY feeling the spirit in Cape Town!

Having our flag socks stolen off our mirrors left us feeling a bit flat, but today I went for a walk down towards the Parade with the intention of buying a couple of small cheapies, and came back with a pile of cool paraphernalia, which were immediately used to to decorate our new mascot Bongani Khu-du-malo!

Hope you're feeling the AYOBAH-NESS too!!!
